The Bible:  “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action)” (2 Timothy 3:16 Amplified)

Christ-likeness: “Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.” (1 John 2:6 Amplified)

The Christian Family:  The Christian family is God’s training ground for preparing future generations to know and serve Jesus Christ.  (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Church: The church has been and always will be God’s instrument to fulfill His purpose here on earth.  (Acts 2:42-47)

Academic Excellence: “Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men.”(Colossians 3:23 Amplified)

Service: “Not so shall it be among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you must be your slave-- Just as the Son of Man came not to be waited on but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [the price paid to set them free].” (Matthew 20:26-28 Amplified)

Preamble

Being mindful of God’s will that children be taught the content and practical applications of His Word (in every aspect of learning and in and for every activity in life – Deut. 6:4-9) and firmly believing that Christ-centered instruction and training is a necessary part of the fulfillment of His will, we herewith establish the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg and adopt this Constitution for its organization and operation.

CAL History

In 1998, a middle school was added. In 1999, a high school was added and grades seventh through twelfth were moved to Alton Baptist Church.  In 2001, to accommodate the increasing number of students, the middle and high school was moved to Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church and preschool classes were moved to Alton Baptist Church.  In 2003 the first senior class graduated with five students. The combined CAL student body represents families from more than fifty area churches. In 2012 CAL obtained its very first school building (our gift from God).
