Brooke Carpenter selected as a Kentucky Governor’s Scholar

2015/2016 School Year

Brooke Carpenter, a junior at Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg and the daughter of Dale and Melissa Carpenter, was selected to participate in the 2015 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar program last summer. Carpenter was one of nearly 1,000 students in Kentucky selected from a rigorous application process. Only students with exceptional grades, high ACT scores, outstanding character, community involvement, and expressive written and verbal communication skills were considered.

“Brooke has dedicated herself to doing her absolute best academically,” said Sandra Bowman, Christian Academy Principal. “She put a great deal of effort into the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar application process. Brooke is highly deserving of this selection. Certainly, as a school family, we are very proud of her.”

Carpenter spent five weeks at Morehead State University, attending a selection of three classes during the week. Her focus area is General Studies and Seminar, Business, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship.
